Places to eat and drink in Newquay

During my many stays in the town of Newquay I have experienced a wide range of food and drink as well visiting some very nice restaurants and cafes. This section is devoted to my experiences so you may enjoy some great meals.

Trewyth (Edgcumbe Avenue)

This Tea Garden & Licensed Restaurant is a relaxed and friendly place to visit. Trewyth offers full menus, lunches, cream teas and snacks. Beautiful gardens with al fresco dining and conservatory. Specialities include fresh local seafood/shellfish. Fully licensed all day food service. Reservations are advised. The Steak & Kidney pie is a must try ! As are the many (filling) sweets on offer.

Oceans Cafe (East Street)

Oceans Cafe can be found opposite the main Post Office in Newquay centre. They have a comprehensive menu at very reasonable prices. Below is one of the meals I enjoyed at Oceans!

The Lanherne (Ulalia Road)

A friendly pub which provides a wonderful Sunday lunch. The staff and service, again, are excellent. The Lanherne serves food all day and the prices are very reasonable.

Wah Hing (East Street)

The best Chinese take away you will ever have can be obtained here. I have visited Wah Hing several times over the years and have had fantastic food every time. You can also dine in here if you prefer. One tip - make sure you order the battered King Prawns !
