National and local trains travel to and from Newquay all through the summer months, this section provides an insight into the best ways to travel to Cornwall and within the county itself.
Inter-city trains
Both CrossCountry and First Great Western Trains provide regular services to Newquay. Local trains run seven days a week in the main mid-July to end of August season and this goes from Newquay to Par and then you can catch connecting trains to Plymouth, Truro and Penzance. Further connections can be made to such places as Looe from Liskeard and St Ives from St Erth.

First Western National Coach Trips and Bus Service
Whilst staying in Newquay you may wish to take a day trip to another part of beautiful cornwall, the bus station is located in Manor Road and buses run from here.

Western Greyhound Coach Trips
Buses from this company also run from Manor Road. They also offer half and full days trips around Cornwall. If you travel on one of the coach trips you will learn about the many legends and tales of the area you will visit as well as the history of Newquay which is very interesting.

Fowey to Mevagissey ferries
The Fowey to Mevagissey passenger ferry runs daily from May through September, weather and sea conditions permitting. the journey takes approximately 35 minutes.

As well as offering a convenient public transport link between the two towns, it offers a great day out to holidaymakers based on one or other side of St Austell Bay.
