Miniatura Park (World in Miniature)

Miniatura Park, a magical world in miniature, is found just five miles outside of Newquay. The Park is a family-friendly garden attraction that has so many things to see!

The Dinosaur Discovery Trail takes you back to jurassic times and the beasts tower above you!

The World in Miniature takes you around the globe, including visits to Buckingham Palace and the White House (below), as well as to Egypt, Italy and even Outer Space!

Other activities here include Goony Farm and Fiesta Golf, a 9-hole crazy golf course that is great fun.

Lappa Valley Steam Railway

The Lappa Valley Steam Railway, Newquay, runs on one of the oldest railway trackbeds in Cornwall. The line originally ran from Newquay to East Wheal Rose and later became a part of the Great Western Railway's Newquay to Chasewater branch line.  

Eleven years after closing, part of the line was reopened in 1974 as a narrow-gauge railway by the founder of Lappa Valley, Eric Booth.  

Trains run daily, up to eleven times, between Spring-Autumn with the first journey starting at 10.30am. Fares are £7.00 per adult and £5.50 per child. More detail can be found at www.lappavalley.co.uk

Goonhilly Satellite Earth Station Experience

With over 60 huge dishes pointing into space, Goonhilly offers a truly unique and interactive experience. Every minute of every day, millions of international phone calls, emails and television broadcasts are transmitted all around the world via Goonhilly.  

Explore the story of international communications in the interactive Visitor’s Centre and take a tour of this fascinating site. The Cornish Cyder Farm

The Cornish Cyder Farm is home to the Cornish Scrumpy Co. that has the motto "Legless but smiling" ! The farm is located centrally in Cornwall, a couple of miles off the main A30.  

At the working cyder farm, they produce over forty varieties of delicious fruit products and you can take a limited self guided tour for free or for £5.00 per adult and £3.00 per child you can join a full guided tour. The full tour does include a comprehensive sampling of the many products made on the farm.
